SALOM CHADO is a footwear shop. We sell fewer models than the mall does, and we know how every one of them behaves after a month of walking.
Full-grain uppers on stitched soles, chosen to be resoled rather than replaced.
Reinforced toe, oil-resistant sole and a last that tolerates a ten-hour shift.
Insulated linings and grip compounds that stay soft below freezing.
Sandals and light shoes with adjustable straps rather than fixed sizing.
Flexible soles, wide toe boxes and a growth allowance measured, not guessed.
Creams, brushes, insoles and laces for the shoes we already sold you.
Buying shoes online is a lottery with a return label. In our shop the foot is measured before anything is brought out of the back room.
Both feet are measured for length and width, because they are rarely identical.
We bring out two or three models that suit the measurement, not the whole wall.
Tried on with the socks you will actually wear, walked in, and checked at the heel.
Care instructions on paper, and a repair rather than a replacement when the sole wears out.
Measure the foot in the evening, standing, in the sock you plan to wear. Add the growth allowance only for children.
| Foot length | EU | UK | US | Fitting note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 24.0 cm | 38 | 5 | 7 | Narrow lasts run small — try a half size up. |
| 25.0 cm | 39–40 | 6 | 8 | Standard width in most models. |
| 26.0 cm | 41 | 7 | 9 | Check the instep on lace-up models. |
| 27.0 cm | 42–43 | 8 | 10 | Winter boots need a centimetre for the lining. |
| 28.0 cm | 44 | 9½ | 11 | Wide fittings available on request. |
Ask whether a model is in stock in your size before you travel. We answer with what is on the shelf today, not with what we could order.
